The Multicultural Counseling Center (MCC) was founded in February 2015 by Karla Arroyo, LCSW, Ph.D. MCC was envisioned as a counseling center that provides various types of services to address mental and behavioral health, offering quality and evidence-based practices involving family and community members.

The mission statement of the Multicultural Counseling Center is to assist individuals, families, and communities in their recovery by delivering effective trauma-informed behavioral health services under a continuum-of-care model. MCC offers a continuum of care that includes therapy, case management, peer support, and skills counseling. We provide services to children, adolescents, and adults through various modalities, including individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

From the early beginning, we envisioned a practice where mental health was not limited to a one-hour therapy session but instead, a service combined with case management and advocacy to help our clients navigate the complexities of life
